The Vortex Energy Saver product was invented to help people save on heating costs. Due to the unique design of this deaerator, the Vortex Energy Saver is the only product on the market proven to reduce Oxygen levels in the water of the heating system down below an inert level (less than 0.5ppm). By doing so the properties of the water are improved causing the water to heat up quicker using less energy. With no Oxygen in the water the Vortex Energy Saver helps prevent corrosion and extends the life of the heating system.
Removing the dissolved Oxygen to an inert level has proven to save on heating costs as much as 35%!
The Vortex Energy Saver works in a very simple way by harnessing phenomena created by the circulating pump. As the water enters the Vortex Energy Saver the action of the pump causes it to spin into a vortex. In the middle of the vortex there is a low pressure zone which is sufficient to draw the dissolved Oxygen from the solution. As the water reaches the outlet of the Vortex Energy Saver the action of the vortex increases and the bubbles of air, now out of solution, rise upwards and are collected through a dip tube to be released from the system through an air vent.
This action will reduce the dissolved Oxygen levels down to around 0.2ppm. Air bubbles in the heating system are by nature lazy and lethargic and reduce the heat transfer efficiency. As a result of removing the dissolved Oxygen down to an inert level the heating system will become more efficient in terms of energy usage, hot water regeneration and higher radiator temperatures and therefore reduce heating costs. The Vortex also helps prevent corrosion which causes the formation of magnetites. Magnetites in turn shortens the life of radiators, pumps, boilers and valves as well as making the system work inefficiently. With no moving parts the Vortex has a life expectancy of 40+ years and should outlast all other components in your heating system.
