How an EPS Gateway setupΒ Works
Normal operation β The switch connects your property to the main utility grid, supplying electricity as usual.
During a power cut β The automatic switchover will switch to backup mode, safely isolating your wiring from the grid to prevent back-feeding into utility lines.
Connecting to backup power β The switch redirects your circuits to a backup source, such as a solar inverter with battery storage or a generator.
Inverter response β If using a solar inverter, it automatically detects grid failure and begins supplying stored energy from your solar batteries.
